We were very glad to be included in an Event Manager Blog round-up of event marketing dashboards in September (let’s get the self-congratulation out of the way early, so we can get to the matter at hand). In the post, Julius Solaris noticed a “missing element” across all five featured platforms: LinkedIn integration.
“The first dashboard who will obtain LinkedIn integration will gain substantial competitive advantage. To a certain extent I believe the lack of such integration will make dashboards also fail.”
Strong words indeed. In a chicken-and-egg kind of way, it is a top priority for the product team here at Evently to solve the “LinkedIn integration problem” – we appreciate that many types of events (especially conferences, charity events and think tanks) target audiences who prefer to use LinkedIn for sharing announcements about professional events.
Adding a LinkedIn “share” button to the event web pages on our system (alongside the Tweet and Like buttons) is the first baby step along the path to full LinkedIn integration. Your audience can now share your events with their connections more easily – not only satisfying a need amongst your existing followers but opening up the potential to reach a new and influential audience on LinkedIn.
Look out for more marketing solutions for event organisers in future Monday updates from our product team.
